Arkeomedya tarafından hazırlanan Arkeoloji Sohbetlerinin 11. bölümünde konuğumuz Prof.Dr.Sait Başaran. ‘Enez Kazılarında 41 Yıl” Adlı semineri Arkeomedya Youtube kanalından izleyebilirsiniz.

Seminerde, M.Ö. 5. Yüzyılda kurulduğu düşünülen Ainos kentinin tarihi masaya yatırılıyor. Başaran, bölgedeki çok katmanlı yapıya dair bulguları ve Antik dönemden başlayarak Enez’in tarihini anlatıyor.  Jeolojik araştırmalar sonucu çizilen harita üzerinden, M.Ö.480’li yıllarda kentin nasıl görünüyor olabileceği gözünüzde canlanıyor.

Jeopolitik konumu itibariyle oldukça önemli bir liman olan Enez Limanı’nın tarih sahnesindeki rolü açıklanıyor. Kentteki bulgular üzerinden Roma ve Osmanlı’nın izleri gözler önüne seriliyor. Enez kalesinde yapılan sondaj çalışmalarında bulunan, erken demirçağ ve son tunç çağı malzemeleri olarak sınıflandırılan bulgular yorumlanıyor ve kentin kalkolitik çağdan beri insan topluluklarına ev sahiplik yapmış olma ihtimali tartışılıyor.

Günümüzde Edirne Arkeoloji Müzesinde sergilenmekte olan bulguların keşif hikâyelerini dinleyebileceğiniz seminerde, esrarengiz Roma villası, Taşaltı ve Çakıllık nekropolisleri, Kralkız ve Su Terazisi bölgesindeki bulguları fotoğrafları ile inceleme ve tarihçelerine dair fikir edinme şansı bulabilir; bölgedeki prehistorik dönem höyük ve tümülüs çalışmalarının detaylarını öğrenebilirsiniz.

In the 11th episode of Archeology Conservations arranged by Arkeomedya, our guest is Prof.Dr.Sait Başaran. You can watch the seminar titled ’41 Years in Ainos Excavations’ on the Arkeomedya Youtube channel.

In the seminar, the history of the city of Ainos, which is thought to have been established around 5th century BC, is discussed in detail. Başaran, explains the discoveries related to the multilayered structure in the area and the history of Ainos, beginning from ancient times. Over the map drawn as the result of the geological researches, how the city might have been looked like in the years around 480 BC gets visualized.

The role of Ainos Harbour, which is a significant harbor due to its geopolitical position, is explained. Through the discoveries in the city, traces of Rome and Ottoman are revealed. The findings that were discovered during the drilling works in Enez Castle and classified as early iron age and late bronze age materials are commentated and the possibility of the city being home to human communities since the chalcolithic age is discussed.

At the seminar, in which you can listen to the discovery stories of the finds that are exhibited today in Edirne Archeology Museum; you can have a chance to examine the findings discovered in a mysterious Roman villa, Taşaltı and Çakıllık Necropolises, Kralkız and Su Terazisi areas through the photographs and form an opinion about their history; learn the details of the studies on prehistoric era mound and tumulus in the area.
